The control allows for infinitely variable speed adjustment for shaded pole and PSC motors. It is important to note that the maximum amperage indicated on the motor name plate should not be exceeded, as doing so can result in damage to both the control and the motor. To prevent stalling, the motor must be operated with adequate torque, as a motor that is not turning will overheat. Additionally, a fan blade must be installed on the shaft of the motor (direct drive) to ensure proper cooling. It is not recommended to use this control with gear motors. Please be advised that controls that have been installed are non-returnable.

This control is specifically designed to fit in a standard 2" x 4" electrical wall box and can handle a maximum of 2.5 amps at 115 volts. It is UL and CSA approved for safety. It is important to note that this control is not suitable for use with Capacitor Start or Capacitor Run Motors.

Common applications for this control include fans, blowers, fireplace blowers, attic fans, humidifiers, and ventilators.
